- MDT involvement - Rheumatology and obstetrician
- low dose aspirin from week 12 of pregnancy until birth to help reduce the risk of pre-eclampsia
- Disease flares - short courses of high dose steroids can be used
- Hydroxychloroquine should be continued in all pregnant women with SLE
- Azathioprine is one of the only few immunosuppressive agents that has documented safety during pregnancy
