Immediately After Birth
- Clamp the umbilical cord - Can delay in uncompromised term infants for (at least) 1 min after delivery of baby - Improved cardiovascular stability, reduce need for transfusion, lower risk of NEC and IVH
- Dry the baby
- Keep the baby warm with a hat and blankets
- Vitamin K - Give all babies IM injection of vitamin K in the thigh after birth
- Skin to skin
