Causes by leaky kidneys - may be post infective
Epidemiology:
- Typically first diagnosed at 2-5 yrs old
- Boys more commonly affected tham girls
- More common if FHx of allergies or asia background
Aetiology
- Minimal change disease accounts for 95% of cases
- Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis
- membranous nephropathy
- Multisystem disorders
- Congenital nephrotic syndrome
