Epidemiology - More common in older females
PC
- may be detected incidentally following routine bloods
- symptomatic patients may present with
- petichae, purpura
- bleeding (e.g. epistaxis)
- catastrophic bleeding (e.g. intracranial) is not a common presentation
Investigations
- FBC - low platelets
- blood film
