Epidemiology: 1 in 2100
PC
Usually present soon after the neonatal period with:
- Wheeze
- stridor
- cough
- rattling
- Child will be labelled as ‘happy’ and fine apart from the wheeze
Investigations
- Bronchoscopy is diagnostic but not always necessary
Management
- Tx rarely required
- If worsening symptoms or failure to thrive - specialist referral
