• Tracheomalacia

Epidemiology: 1 in 2100

PC

Usually present soon after the neonatal period with:

• Wheeze
• stridor
• cough
• rattling
• Child will be labelled as ‘happy’ and fine apart from the wheeze

Investigations

• Bronchoscopy is diagnostic but not always necessary

Management

• Tx rarely required
• If worsening symptoms or failure to thrive - specialist referral
